About the Christmas Country Fête
Welcome to The Christmas Country Fête, an enchanting annual event that celebrates the festive season. Enjoy early Christmas shopping with artisan stall holders and local businesses, while enjoying a social occasion complete with delicious food and live entertainment.
History
The Christmas Country Fête has been running since the ’90s and is known for its warm and welcoming environment. A relaxed and enjoyable experience for all visitors, including families. The Christmas Country Fête was originally known as the Culverden Christmas Country Fête, and people would travel to Culverden from all over New Zealand to enjoy a fantastic and unique day out.
Location
The Christmas Country Fête is now hosted at the Vintage Car Club on McLeans Road in Christchurch. This change allows more people to enjoy the festivities without having to venture too far from Christchurch. The picturesque surroundings serve as the perfect backdrop for The Christmas Country Fete.

Atelier Royale
Atelier Royale makes handmade straw sunhats and felt hats. The hats are designed and made by Simone in-house, and our specialty is in smaller & larger sizes. (54 – 64cm).
Some straws and wool felts are blocked on a vintage French Hat Press, and some straws, plus the fur felts, are hand-blocked on wooden hat blocks—the old-fashioned way.
Atelier Royale sources and uses quality natural materials for the hats. An exclusive range of styles is available to suit everyone, and trim colours to match every outfit.

I make and sell upcycled and new teacups into birdfeeders. They can also be used for plants /succulents/ cactus
We have raised just over $71000.00 so far over the last 6 years .We donate the whole price of the birdfeeders to
HFTC This has gone towards helping children who need help get it. You are amazing. Thank You.
This journey started when I made one for my daughters birthday and she then said "Mum you could make and
sell these for HFTC" and so it all began. So in my spare time I make and sell up-cycled and new teacup and
saucer bird feeders at markets and through my chooice shop and facebook page with all proceeds going to Hope
for The Children. This is an organisation that provides free and subsidised counselling for children and young
people in the Canterbury Area for whom the cost may be a barrier. All money from the sale of these goes to
HFTC.
The bird feeders cost from $20.00 for a single or $30.00 for a double teacup and plate bird feeder. They make
excellent gifts for family and friends while at the same time you can have the pleasure of knowing you are helping
New Zealand children.
I also have hand knitting and crochet items on my stall, Knitted Christmas Tree decorations, ponchos, Baby
Clothes, Mini tins with rabbits or bears in them and a mattress and pillow and also Picnic Tins with and Animal in
them plus hand knitted blanket and mattress and pillow. Pocket buddy Rabbits ,
